Karen Seagle-Warnberg is a landscape photographer who resides in Salmon, Idaho. During the winter months she often travels, recording her impressions of the landscape and local culture in other parts of the United States. She retains her maiden name (Seagle) as a tribute to family members who introduced her to photography at an early age. She added Warnberg in honor of her husband David’s re-introduction of photography into her life and his unwavering support of her passion.
Beginning in her teens, she learned the basics of exposure, composition and darkroom work. After a hiatus of almost 40 years, the advent of digital cameras and editing techniques allowed Karen to unleash the full range of her artistic visions. Mostly self-taught, with a few seminars here and there, Karen puts 35+ years of computer experience to the task of creating her unique vision of the world. She feels that her art is constantly evolving and greatly enjoys exploring new photography subjects as well as digital processing techniques.
A California native, Karen primarily focuses on landscapes and natural phenomenon. The wide variety of wildlife in Idaho has inspired her to add them to her portfolio. Karen’s work has been recognized by the State of California, Lemhi County and National Geographic On-Line.
Karen offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee with her photo-on-metal prints. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for exchange, credit or refund within six months of purchase. (The work must be in “like-new” condition.) She also offers free shipping on all of her photo-on-metal prints within the continental United States.
Favorite quote: “You only get one sunrise and one sunset a day, and you only get so many days on the planet. A good photographer does the math and doesn’t waste either.”
– Galen Rowell, world-renowned climber & nature photographer 1940-2002.
